UK aerospace boom fuels growth at ANT Industries

The UK aerospace sector is enjoying a major upswing, with output from aircraft, spacecraft and related machinery surging 28% year-on-year in Q2 2025, according to ONS data. For ANT Industries, a precision engineering specialist headquartered in Atherstone, Warwickshire, the growth of the wider industry is reflected in its own record-breaking results and ambitious international plans.

In 2023, ANT Industries achieved a turnover of £7.6m, marking a significant milestone in its recent expansion, with exports accounting for more than 82% of production, with European sales almost doubling. The company has secured long-term contracts with global aerospace leaders including Rolls-Royce, GE Aviation, Siemens and ITP, underscoring its reputation as a trusted, critical supplier of high-precision aero engine components.

“UK aerospace is clearly on the rise, and for us that means even greater opportunities to work in partnership with our customers,” said Shaun Rowley, Managing Director of ANT Industries. “We’ve invested heavily in advanced technologies and in developing our people to ensure we can support clients not just in delivery, but right at the design stage – adding value where it matters most and helping them hit demanding cost, quality and time targets.”

Those investments include new CNC machining centres, non-destructive testing capabilities, and cutting-edge inspection technologies, all underpinned by AS9100D accreditation and a recently extended NADCAP approval. Together, these improvements allow ANT to take on more complex programmes and deliver components with the precision and reliability demanded by global aerospace primes.

Operational readiness is another area where the company has made decisive strides. Despite supply chain disruptions affecting the wider sector, ANT has maintained on-time delivery performance, contributing to what Rowley describes as “unprecedented confidence” among its international customer base. “Our record order book shows that clients value consistency as much as innovation,” he added.

Looking ahead, ANT has set its sights firmly on the future. With global aerospace demand forecast to remain strong through 2028 and beyond, the company is targeting long term export growth. This ambition is underpinned by both aftermarket demand for engine components and the ramp-up of next-generation sustainable aircraft platforms.

Sustainability itself is becoming a cornerstone of ANT’s strategy. The company has adopted eco-efficient machining practices, optimised resource use, and continues to explore new materials and processes to reduce waste and carbon impact. “Aerospace is under pressure to decarbonise, and as a supply chain partner we have a responsibility to support that journey,” Rowley said. “Sustainability is an opportunity to strengthen competitiveness.”

As ONS data shows, the £2bn surge in UK aerospace output is driving overall manufacturing growth across the country. For companies like ANT Industries, this momentum offers a platform to expand global reach, deepen strategic partnerships and secure a role in shaping the future of aerospace engineering.

“ANT Industries is a proud Midlands manufacturer, with a global outlooks,” Rowley concluded. “Our success is built on long-term partnerships, and our focus remains on delivering value for customers wherever in the world they operate.”
