Planning / Manufacturing Office-Based Engineer

Location: Atherstone, Warwickshire

Employment Type: Full-time

Industry: Manufacturing / Engineering (Aerospace & power generation)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Planning / Manufacturing Engineer to join our office-based engineering team. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys coordinating production processes, improving efficiency, and working closely with manufacturing and supply chain teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

Defining and documenting methods of manufacture including fixture design from customer component definition.

Support manufacturing operations through planning, process optimisation and data analysis

Liaise with production, purchasing, and quality teams to ensure on-time delivery

Prepare and manage bills of materials (BOMs), routings, and work instructions

Monitor resource requirements

Use of ERP/MRP system to track and plan manufacturing activity

 

Requirements

Ideally proficient with Solidworks with Solidcam or Edgecam experience also beneficial

Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings based around the aerospace and power generation industry.

Experience in a manufacturing or production planning environment (preferred)

Strong organisational and analytical skills

Confident using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel

Good communication skills, customer liaison and ability to work cross-functionally

Proactive, methodical, and solution-focused approach
