ANT Industries Continues to Meet Stringent Aerospace Quality Standards with Sustained AS9100 Accreditation

ANT Industries, a prominent manufacturer specialising in precision-engineered components for the aerospace and gas turbine engine industries, has once again demonstrated its commitment to quality by maintaining its AS9100 Quality Management Systems accreditation. AS9100 is recognised as an international standard for aerospace management systems and a widely adopted quality management system within the aerospace sector.

Developed by the Society of Automotive Engineers in March 1999, AS9100 aims to foster continual improvement, with a strong emphasis on defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste throughout the aerospace industry supply chain and assembly process. This standard fully incorporates all requirements of the current ISO 9001 while introducing additional stipulations related to quality and safety. Compliance with AS9100 is a significant benchmark in the aerospace industry, often required by major manufacturers and suppliers as a condition for conducting business.

ANT Industries, established in 1972, operates from its manufacturing facility in Warwickshire, where it produces a comprehensive range of precision-engineered aerospace parts. Their product portfolio includes engine rings and casings, prismatic complex machined parts, the machining of castings, and various assemblies, utilising materials such as titanium, nimonic alloys, and magnesium. The company prides itself on its stringent quality management processes, applied across all services and product development procedures.

This continued AS9100 accreditation underscores ANT Industries’ long-standing dedication to maintaining the highest industry standards, a sentiment previously echoed by Managing Director Shaun Rowley in the context of the company’s JOSCAR registration. The underlying principles of quality and adherence to rigorous standards are consistent with the requirements of AS9100. Rowley’s commented;  “The supplementary standard of SAE AS13100 builds upon AS9100 and AS9145, specifically adding requirements for engine manufacturing. This standard focuses on the unique needs of the aero engine supply chain, which includes ANT Industries, where firms have more stringent regulatory and customer requirements compared to other segments within the aerospace industry. The emergence of AS13100 highlights the aerospace sector’s ongoing efforts to refine and enhance quality management systems to meet the specific demands of different product areas, such as aero engines” explain Rowley.

He continues; “It has been a busy start to the year with customer approvals and accreditation audits but this is part and parcel of the standard compliance which comes from being a reliable and respected aerospace engine component manufacturer. Our team have passed through all of our audits with flying colours and continue to be a tremendous credit to our organisation. Our world class customers have come to accept this from ANT Industries and despite the supply chain challenges we face, we’re really proud to have come out the other side with glowing feedback”

By consistently maintaining its AS9100 accreditation, ANT Industries demonstrates its ongoing commitment to meeting globally recognised quality and safety standards within the demanding aerospace sector . This dedication, coupled with an awareness of supplementary standards like AS13100 tailored for specific areas like engine manufacturing, positions ANT Industries as a reliable and quality-focused partner within the aerospace supply chain.
