As re-shoring and de-risking become central themes in global aerospace strategy, UK-based ANT Industries is positioning itself as a flagship of homegrown capability. The firm is currently in the process of hiring two new quality engineers joining its Atherstone site, the business is reinforcing its reputation for excellence in 5-axis CNC machining, NDT, inspection and full compliance with NADCAP and AS9100 standards.
“As customers look to de-risk and regionalise their supply chains, we’re seeing a real resurgence in interest in UK manufacturing,” says Shaun Rowley, Managing Director of ANT Industries. “And we’re ready for it, which is why we are growing the team.”
The new quality engineers are joining a business already recognised for its mission-critical aerospace components, supplied into more than 20 engine platforms worldwide. At the core of this capability is ANT’s advanced CNC machining operation, where highly complex geometries are produced to micron-level tolerances.
“We’re not a general machine shop,” Rowley says. “We are a specialist aerospace supplier with full end-to-end capability. From the moment raw material arrives to final inspection and NDT sign-off, our process is locked down, verified, and traceable. That’s what our customers demand.”
The company’s NADCAP accreditation covers multiple special processes, and its AS9100 quality system ensures a robust framework for repeatable, high-quality output. In-house inspection includes CMMs, visual and dimensional checks, and non-destructive testing methods that guarantee compliance and performance.
The two new hires will join existing cross-functional teams that bring together engineering, production and quality to deliver right-first-time components. “The sector needs to develop future leaders,” Rowley explains. “. We’re building a team that can uphold our standards, mentor others, and continuously raise the bar, the firms that can do this successfully will have a huge advantage of competitors
New joiners will be immersed in ANT’s culture of shared knowledge. Senior engineers, many with over 30 years of aerospace experience, work alongside apprentices and graduates to develop both technical skills and problem-solving confidence.
“That intergenerational mix is our greatest strength as we’re building tomorrow’s capability” states Rowley.
As the global aerospace industry doubles down on trusted supply chain partnerships, ANT Industries is making a clear statement:
“There’s a lot of talk about resilience, and this is important, however we also need to be preparing for growth.”
