ANT Industries Celebrates a Century of Pratt & Whitney Innovation and Enduring Partnership

As global aerospace giant Pratt & Whitney marks its centenary this month, ANT Industries is proud to celebrate the milestone alongside a company whose engineering legacy has helped shape the very industry we serve. From its revolutionary Wasp radial engine in 1926 to today’s cutting-edge geared turbofans, Pratt & Whitney’s journey over the past 100 years is nothing short of extraordinary. For ANT Industries, based in Atherstone, Warwickshire, that story isn’t just history—it’s a working partnership.

“Pratt & Whitney has driven innovation in propulsion for a century, and we’re proud to support their platforms with high-precision components manufactured right here in the UK,” said Shaun Rowley, Managing Director of ANT Industries. “They’ve never stood still, and neither have we.”

Operating from a 28,000 sq ft facility, ANT Industries specialises in complex, high-tolerance components for aero engines, including rotating parts made from advanced alloys like titanium and nimonic. With over 20 international engine platforms in its portfolio, the company supplies both civil and defence sectors, including programs powered by Pratt & Whitney.

“Pratt’s development of turbojets, turbofans and now geared turbofan technology has consistently raised the bar for what’s possible in aerospace propulsion,” Rowley continued. “As a supplier, we see that drive for performance and reliability reflected in the demanding standards they set—and we meet them every day.”

This centenary also comes at a time of significant momentum for both companies. With global aircraft orders surging and OEMs ramping up output, precision engineering suppliers like ANT Industries are scaling up in response. The firm is investing heavily in digital inspection systems, process automation, and workforce development—building on decades of aerospace expertise to meet tomorrow’s demand.

“The future of aerospace will depend on smart supply chains, new materials, and global collaboration,” said Rowley. “Pratt & Whitney’s century of leadership shows what’s possible when engineering ambition meets long-term commitment. We’re proud to be a trusted partner in that journey.”

Beyond the machines and materials, Rowley is quick to highlight the people behind the precision. “Our engineers are passionate about what they do—and that’s what delivers consistent, world-class quality. When we see a Pratt & Whitney engine take off, knowing we had a hand in it, that’s a real point of pride.”

As the aerospace industry looks toward more sustainable, more efficient propulsion technologies, the legacy of innovation that began in a converted tobacco warehouse in 1925 continues to power forward. And from a high-tech shop floor in Atherstone, ANT Industries is helping to shape what comes next.

“Here’s to the next 100 years of engineering excellence,” Rowley concluded. “We congratulate the entire Pratt & Whitney team—and look forward to supporting them in the century ahead.”
